Honest fence comparison
Looking for a Brick Fence? Get the Look for About Half the Price
A brick fence is one of the dearest and slowest fences to build. Our precast concrete walls give you the same solid, permanent masonry look for about half the cost, and a 60 metre fence goes up in around two days rather than the month or two bricklaying takes.
Customer Reviews
“Looks stunning. Started punctual on the agreed date and completed it within the timeframe specified. Fence straight, plumb, banter of the street - happy I went the stacked stone!”
Mark Bradley
“Greg was amazing to deal with, nothing was too much trouble. I have a fabulous fence that I will have for many, many years. I have no hesitation in recommending Greg or his excellent business.”
Kym Hudson
“This Wall concept is amazing. I could not believe how fast our fence went up! Greg and his team did a great job negotiating our steep sloping block. The end result exceeded our expectation, we even added a secure parcel post box. We have now painted the wall which looks even better. I am confident the investment is reflected in our increased property value.”

If you have been pricing a brick fence, you already know the look you want: solid, private and permanent, with the substance of real masonry. You have probably also had the sticker shock, and the news that it will take weeks. After decades building boundary walls across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, here is the honest comparison, and a system that gives you the same result for about half the price and in a fraction of the time.
~2 days
to install a 60 metre Superior Concrete wall
a month or two
to lay the same length in brick
Same masonry look, a fraction of the time on site, and about half the price. Because the panels are prefabricated before we arrive, rain does not stall the job the way it does bricklaying.
The masonry look, without the bricklayer

Brick fence vs Superior Concrete Walls
Here is how the two stack up on the things that actually matter when you are choosing a boundary fence.
| Factor | Brick fence | Superior Concrete Walls |
|---|---|---|
| Installed cost | One of the dearer fences to build | About half the price of a brick fence |
| Time on site | A month or two for a long run, laid brick by brick | About 2 days for a 60 metre fence, up to 100 metres a day |
| How it is built | Each brick laid and mortared by hand on site | Solid panels cast in our factory, then craned into place |
| Cracking over time | Mortar joints can crack and step as the ground moves | Tongue-and-groove panels with live joints flex instead of cracking |
| Finish on both sides | Often the good face one side only | Profiled on both sides as standard |
| Weather delays | Bricklaying stalls in the wet | Footings and panels go in around the weather |
| Ground disturbance | Continuous strip footing, more excavation | Pier footings at 3.2m centres, far less digging |
| Lifespan and backing | Long if it is well maintained | 100+ year design life, 15-year structural guarantee |

Brick fence alternative: common questions
Can you build a brick fence?
We do not lay brick. We manufacture precast concrete walls that give you the same solid, permanent look for about half the price, and without the weeks of bricklaying. A lot of our customers come to us after pricing brick and finding the concrete wall faster, cheaper and finished on both sides.
Is a concrete wall really cheaper than a brick fence?
Yes. A brick fence is one of the dearer fences to build because every brick is laid and mortared by hand on site, which is slow and labour-intensive. Our walls come in at around half the price because the panels are cast in the factory and craned into place. Every site is different, so the best way to compare is a free quote.
How much faster is it than a brick fence?
A lot faster. We can install a 60 metre fence in about two days, where the same length in brick can take a month or two to lay, point and finish. Because the panels are prefabricated before we arrive, there are no wet trades holding the job up, and rain does not stall the build the way it does bricklaying.
Does it look like a brick or rendered wall?
Yes. The panels are solid 50MPa concrete profiled on both sides, so you get the substantial, permanent look of a masonry wall, and your neighbours see the same finish you do. You can paint it any colour, or choose our Stacked Stone finish, cast from a genuine 19th-century Spanish stone wall, for a natural stone look.
